Xi Shi (190 ml) Sesame Duan Ni Yixing Teapot

This Xi Shi Yixing Teapot is half-handmade from Sesame Duan Ni (芝麻段泥), a natural variation of Duan Ni clay with fine dark “sesame” grains from iron particles scattered across a light beige base. After firing, it has a matte tone with subtle speckles. This clay is highly porous, so it gently softens bitterness, highlights clean sweetness and floral notes. It pairs beautifully with light oolongs, young sheng pu-erh, white tea and green tea. A simple and lovely plain piece for brewing with one or two people.
