Crafted in Dingshu Town, Yixing, this 120 ml teapot is a refined expression of the Si Ting (思亭) shape —a design characterized by its elegantly tall and upright body, flowing into a high shoulder that converges at a tapered neck and a finely wrought mouth.

Its graceful shape is also a thoughtful design in thermal physics. Compared to flatter, wider pots of the same volume, the Si Ting's tall, rounded form possesses a smaller surface-area-to-volume ratio, allowing consistently high internal temperature throughout brewing. This very feature makes the Si Ting Teapot a highly favored choice for the Gong Fu Cha brewing tradition.

The teapot is crafted by Xiao Mei Yao Zhu Ni (小煤窑朱泥), an iron-rich Zhu Ni yields a lustrous surface after firing. Fired at approximately 1100°C, the teapot achieves a crystalline quality and excellent brewing characteristics for oolong, black tea and shou puerh.
