This Huai Yin Yixing Teapot is compact yet leaves enough space for tea leaves to expand, with a short spout that delivers a clean pour. This makes it an excellent pick for personal Gong Fu brewing, enjoying a few quiet cups on your own.
This teapot is half handmade from Zhu Ni, a Yixing red clay specialized for its high iron content and a significant shrinkage rate of around 20%. The result is a bright red tone with a matte texture and excellent heat conduction. Zhu Ni quickly absorbs and softens harsh notes, while enhancing the aroma in the tea. It pairs especially well with oolongs and black teas.
The bottom is stamped with a poetic line: “云自无心,水自闲” (Clouds drift without intent, water flows at ease).
