Crafted in Dingshu Town, Yixing, this 130ml De Zhong (德钟) Yixing Teapot is classic shape created by master potter Shao Daheng (邵大亨) of the Qing Dynasty. Its design is both simple and dignified: a straight, upright body and broad shoulders, creating a look of it's identical structural clarity.
Balanced for both visual and functionality, the teapot promotes even heat retention and allows effortless leaf handling. Its fluid spout and comfortable handle ensure steady, controlled pouring. This thoughtful synthesis has made De Zhong an enduring shape in the Gongfu Cha tradition.
The teapot is crafted by Xiao Mei Yao Zhu Ni (小煤窑朱泥), an iron-rich Zhu Ni yields a lustrous surface after firing. Fired at approximately 1100°C, the teapot achieves a crystalline quality and excellent brewing characteristics for oolong, black tea and shou puerh.
