Bawang Shi Piao is a specific variation of Shi Piao Yixing teapot. It is characterized by a bold pyramidal body, complemented by a flush lid, arched bridge knob, straight spout, and triangular handle. Each element is rendered with powerful and clean lines that accentuate the teapot's expansive presence.
Half handmade from Zhu Ni clay, this teapot features engraved bamboo scene and the poem "翠竹黃花皆佛性, 清池皓月照禪心", which conveys the Zen idea that "Through emerald bamboo, gold blossoms, the Absolute is shown. In placid waters, moonbeam-white, the contemplative heart is known."
