This Meizhan Jin Jun Mei (梅占金骏眉) is crafted from Meizhan tea trees grown in the core production area of Wuyishan. Meizhan is a large-leaf, bud-dominant cultivar known for strong vigor and good leaf tenderness, making it particularly well suited for black tea production.
Harvested in early April 2025, the tea uses only single buds or one-bud-one-leaf material and follows the Jin Jun Mei processing style. The leaves undergo careful withering, light rolling, oxidation, and slow low-temperature baking, preserving aromatic clarity while building sweetness and body.
The dry leaves are twisted with visible golden tips. The liquor is clear and golden-amber. Aromatically, the tea shows layered notes of plum blossom and florals, supported by fruit and honey sweetness. On the palate, it is smooth and full-bodied, with a clean sweetness, subtle plum-like acidity, and a gentle cooling sensation in the finish. The aftertaste is long and refined.
