Tie Luo Han (铁罗汉), one of the four famous bushes of the Wuyi Mountains, is steeped in history and tradition. Said to have originated during the Song dynasty, it is considered the earliest tea variety in Wuyishan. The name, meaning "Iron Arhat," reflects the tea’s bold character and its deep-rooted connection to Wuyishan’s legendary tea culture.

This Tie Luo Han is charcoal-baked to a high roast, resulting in a tea of remarkable depth and full-bodied texture. Its complex flavor profile combines subtle floral and fruity notes with underlying richness, creating a smooth yet powerful sensation on the palate. The high roast enhances the tea’s intensity, offering a thick mouthfeel and a long-lasting aftertaste. With its balanced fragrance and sweetness that linger after each sip, this tea leaves a pronounced "throat feel" and stands out for its ability to endure across multiple infusions.

Grown in Ye Zhu Ling (Wild Boar Ridge), a secluded area within Wuyishan National Park, this Tie Luo Han benefits from the unique terroir of the Wuyi Mountains. Named after the frequent wild boar sightings in the area, Ye Zhu Ling is located near Fo Guo Yan in the northern part of the scenic reserve. The mineral-rich soil and distinctive rocky terrain impart the characteristic "rock bones" to the tea, giving it a rich, mineral depth. While the elevation of the Zheng Yan area is relatively low, it is this unique environment that shapes Tie Luo Han’s signature flavor and strength.

With its bold flavor, smooth texture, and enduring aftertaste, this Tie Luo Han is a classic example of Wuyishan’s renowned "rock ryhme," offering a refined yet intense tea experience for lovers of traditional high-roast teas.
