The 2019 Yi Wu GuShu Raw Pu-erh is sourced from Tianmenshan in Yiwu, a region historically revered for producing tribute teas in the Qing Dynasty. Harvested from tea trees over 100 years old, this tea is processed traditionally—withered, pan-fried, rolled, sun-dried, and later hand-rolled into dragon balls.
Yiwu is known for its high-quality, often expensive pu-erh teas, sought after for their unique flavor profiles. Stored as Maocha (semi-processed loose leaf tea) in Kunming from 2019 to 2023, this tea has been carefully aged to enhance its complexity. In 2023, it was hand-rolled into dragon balls, refining its flavor and aroma.
Yiwu Pu-erh is renowned for its smooth, mellow character and honey-like sweetness, with a lingering aftertaste that captures the elegance of this historic tea region. This tea offers a glimpse into the rich heritage and superior craftsmanship that have made Yiwu a legendary name in the world of pu-erh.
