Crafted from the famous Bulang Mountain, our 2017 Bulang Rhyme Ripe Pu-erh Dragonball embodies the essence of traditional Pu-erh craftsmanship. Grown at an elevation of around 1800 meters, the big arbor tea trees thrive in the region's pristine environment, resulting in a rich and flavorful profile. The producer named this tea Bulang Rhyme to reflect the characteristic taste of the Bulang area's distinctive terroir.
The tea leaves were harvested in the spring of 2014 and made into semi-processed tea (known as Mao Cha), then aged for three years before fermentation. In 2017, the aged Mao Cha was expertly transformed using the classic Wo Dui (wet piling) process, yielding a smooth, mature Ripe Pu-erh. Finally, the tea was carefully rolled into convenient 8-gram dragonballs, perfect for easy and consistent brewing.
The flavor profile of this tea features a delightful fragrance of dates, complemented by a subtle honey-like sweetness. The tea liquor has a deep, vibrant red hue, with a clean and smooth entry on the palate. A slight underlying bitterness adds balance, while the pronounced sweetness lingers, leaving a refreshing and comforting sensation in the mouth. The result is a tea experience that is both rich and satisfying, with a pleasant, enduring aftertaste.
