In Qing dynasty around 300 years ago, Yiwu flourished because of tea, when hundreds of thousands of farmers and merchants entering Yiwu and its surrounding regions to plant tea trees and make tea. In 1744, Yiwu tea was enlisted as a tribute tea for the imperial court.

Nowadays on average, puerh tea from Yiwu is still among the most expensive compared with those from other regions. The teas from there are known to be more gentle and soft than those from Menghai, with an aromatic character and honey sweetness.

This tea has a blend of tea leaves harvested between 2010 and 2015. The loose-leaf teas were stored in Menghai till 2015. After being compressed in the spring of 2015, this tea was stored in Jinghong from 2015 to 2018 and Guangzhou from 2019 to 2022.
