The Bulang Mountains, located in the southernmost part of Menghai, Yunnan, are renowned for producing some of Yunnan’s most distinctive Pu'er teas. While Bulang Sheng Pu'er is known for its bold bitterness, deep complexity, and lasting Huigan (returning sweetness), its Shou Pu'er counterpart undergoes a remarkable transformation, developing a smooth, mellow, and richly sweet profile over time.
This 2013 Bulang Shou Pu'er Tea Brick was pressed on March 28, 2013, weighing 250 grams per brick, and has been carefully aged for over 12 years in optimal storage conditions. The extended aging has allowed the tea to develop a rich, velvety texture, with a well-integrated earthy sweetness and deep, lingering complexity.
The tea brews into a deep reddish-brown infusion, embodying the refined character that aged Bulang Shou Pu'er is known for. Whether enjoyed now or stored for further aging, this matured Shou Pu'er is a fantastic representation of Bulang’s unique terroir and processing expertise.
